In reply to maureen2c. Yes you are saying it correctly in Chinese. In Chinese we don't use "to" in front of the verb, so I think your student was commenting on English grammar rather than Chinese grammar.

I asked one of my own students if I was saying this correctly, in Chinese.
“Wo Yao Wan” (I want play) she said I should say….I want TO play, which is the same as we say in English. Why do you omit the word TO?

I understand the Chinese is: I/me = Wo3 tone; however, I was a little confused to hear say: No War – as this implies I should say No War, and not Wo3/War. Otherwise, I love the videos and repetition. the English language in white print is a little hard to see, is this deliberate? I’d have also liked pinyin.
